Data Deletion

ScentShelf is a mobile app backed by Supabase. This page explains how to delete your ScentShelf account and the data stored with it, either from inside the app or by email if you can no longer open it.
The quickest way to remove your data is from inside the app:
1. Open ScentShelf and go to Settings.
2. Tap Account.
3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Deletion runs immediately. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it, so save anything you want to keep before you confirm.
Deleting your account removes:
- Your profile, including your name, avatar, and sign-in identity.
- Your perfume collection and the photos attached to it.
- Your wear logs and the calendar history built from them.
- Your wishlist.
- Your community posts, comments, and likes.
This is permanent and irreversible. We cannot restore a deleted account. If you sign in again later with the same Apple or Google account, a new and empty account is created.
If you have uninstalled ScentShelf, lost your device, or can no longer sign in, email us at defineyou30@gmail.com and ask us to delete your account.
Write from the email address on the account so we can confirm it is yours. We do not need any other personal details, and you should never send us a password. We handle deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them and reply once the account is gone.
You can also use ScentShelf without signing in, as an anonymous guest. A guest session that was never linked to an Apple or Google account holds its data in that device's session only. There is no account for us to look up, so there is nothing to request. Dormant guest sessions are purged automatically. If you later link a guest session to a social account, the account deletion steps above apply.
For a short period after deletion, some records may still sit in encrypted backups. Those backups exist only so the service can be restored after a failure, they are never used to bring a deleted account back, and they rotate out on their own schedule.
